REMEMBERING CLIMATE CHANGE

Global Warming and the associated Climate Change must not be addressed as a game of ping pong, between the Left and the Right, between the Democrats and the Republicans or between Big Business and the Environmentalists. It is simply much too important to the well-being of all those living creatures who reside on this planet.
Ten years ago, coming out of the Paris Accord, it was seen as an existential crisis. Today it spends more time on the back burner, at worst as a hoax and at best as something to be dealt with when we can afford it. In this lecture we’ll examine the facts and implications of Climate Change.
Mark was born and educated in Montreal where he received his Ph.D. From McGill University in 1970. He went on to teach and do research at Harvard Medical School in Boston, the College de France in Paris, The University of Alberta in Edmonton where he was Associate Dean of Medicine and the Robarts Research Institute in London Ontario where he was President and CEO. He moved to Toronto in 2007 to head up the Ontario Genomics Institute. He retired in 2017.
