IFC started in 1985 when Celia and Ron Walker, long-time residents of Puerto Vallarta, learned that a friend’s baby had been born with a cleft palate. They knew the child needed help and from this evolved the IFC Cleft Palate Surgery Program.
To raise money for this new venture the Walker’s asked their friends to offer their homes for charity and the IFC Home Tours were started. Over the years the IFC Cleft Palate Surgery Program has assessed thousands of children and successfully completed hundreds of surgeries changing their lives forever!
